Updates 11-02-15

Hello all:

We hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend! This week our IRL skill is going to be dialogue. I will be grading these IRL entries for accuracy. Students a required to recopy one sentence of dialogue from their JR book correctly. If you have any questions please let us know.

In Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop we are starting our nonfiction unit. Below are some of the teaching points that we will focus on this unit.

In Social Studies we are continuing our explorers unit. Look for some texts to come home this week for homework. We will be having a test soon and I will let you know in advance when it will be.

In text analysis, we will be examining various texts and comparing their content and features. One text we will work with this week is titled, Columbus and the Egg. Ask your scholar about it tonight!
