E-Mail UPDATE 02.02.16

Hello all:

I hope that everyone had a great weekend. Only 10 more days until winter break...oh how time flies! Here are some updates:

Text Analysis- We will be working on Milestones Prep in our text analysis block until Spring Break. We have Ready Common Core books for each scholar to work on in class. Let me know if you need extra resources!

Writer's Workshop/Reader's Workshop- We are finishing up biographies today and they are DUE TOMORROW 2/2. If you need to e-mail me a copy to print, feel free. I cannot wait to have the scholars present their biographies to the class! Our next unit is persuasion. I know our scholars have a lot of opinions and I have a feeling that this may be their favorite unit yet.... :)

Social Studies: We are starting our unit on Westward Expansion! Look for some related homework coming home soon. Also, look on our blog for the unit overview!

IRL Skill: Summarizing - requirement 3 sentences minimum.

Fundraising update!

We raised over $60 for hat day last week. Also, keep sending in your loose change, the scholars are having a great time with this friendly competition. I have attached the official rules to this e-mail. We are ONLY bombing other classrooms on Fridays (please see rules if this does not make sense).

Our next fundraiser will be PJ day (flier attached) ​​It will be $2.00 02/10/2016 Next Wednesday!

Please let us know if you would like us to resend you a login to ENGRADE, our school wide grade system. You can view your scholars grades online whenever you please. I sent out logins a while ago but I would be more than happy to do it again upon request.
