I am a graduate of Xavier University in New Orleans, LA with a bachelor's degree in Psychology.  This will be my ninth year in the classroom.  Previously, I taught grades six-eight in the areas of social studies and science.  I have spent my entire teaching career in Georgia public schools.  This will be my first experience in elementary school, but I enthusiastically welcome this new venture.  In 2012, I stepped away from the classroom briefly to accept a full-time position with President Obama's re-election campaign in Petersburg, VA.  Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.  I also enjoy activities involving social justice and community improvement.  I believe all students enjoy learning and benefit from teachers that genuinely care about their success and well being.  I am incredibly excited about the opportunity to impact the lives of students at the Kindezi School.
